College Radio Day

College Radio Day

WRSU is participating in the fifth annual College Radio Day tomorrow. It’s a day college radio stations around the country – and the world – highlight all that is good about local, college radio.

We have some special programming lined up.

7am to  12pm – John Cooper’s “Jazz from the Hub” will feature some Rutgers professors and former students who’ve made jazz recordings, as well as John’s usual focus on local artists.

1pm to 2pm – Nationwide College Radio Day simulcast. Interviews with artists like Stewart Copeland from the Police and Mike D’Antonio from Killswitch Engage, and more.

4pm to 6pm – “Scarlet Fever” Our sports talk show will be presenting Neil Solondz at 5pm. He is a 1992 Rutgers grad and former Sports Director at WRSU. Currently at Major League Baseball’s Tampa Bay Rays, he is the pre- and post-game radio host, and fill-in play-by-play man.

10 pm to 12am – “Overnight Sensations,” hosted by Geoff Pape. Overnight Sensations has been a staple on WRSU for over 25 years, “2 hours dedicated to nothing… but local music!” This week’s show features Sarah Donner.

That’s the fifth annual College Radio Day…. Tomorrow, on WRSU!
