ESPN SportsCenter anchor Zubin Mehenti (RC ’00) has been announced as one of the three members of ESPN Radio’s new morning show team. The former WRSU standout was the beneficiary of a top-to-bottom overhaul of the network’s on air schedule unveiled on July 7th.
Zubin will be joined by basketball analyst Jay Williams – the former NBA and St. Joseph-Metuchen star – and former New York Jet Keyshawn Johnson, currently a host on ESPN’s Los Angeles station. “Keyshawn, Jay and Zubin” will air Monday through Friday mornings from 6 am to 10 pm Eastern.
Mehenti was a four-year member of the WRSU Sports team, calling basketball and soccer games, and often hosting the post-game call-in show “Knightline.”
Upon graduating, Zubin worked at the now-defunct WMGM-TV in Atlantic City, anchoring and reporting sports, then moved on to Des Moines and Denver before joining ESPN and working behind the “SportsCenter” desk in Bristol.
Zubin has been a part of covering major breaking stories on “SportsCenter,” and most recently has been a weekend voice on ESPN Radio. He’ll continue to host select editions of “SportsCenter.”
